Celsius BTC & Bonus Rates, Explained
When you HODL and earn with Celsius, we give you the freedom to earn on your terms. We thought we’d take a couple of minutes to break down how you can earn and what you can earn so you can maximize the outcome of your passive income. Keep reading to learn more about the bonus rates that apply to you based on where you live and how much you hold in your Celsius Wallet.
🌍 Non-US Customers
Celsius customers located outside of the US can choose to earn rewards in kind or in CEL tokens with the option to adjust reward settings for each coin in the Celsius wallet. Earning weekly rewards in CEL tokens gives you access to even higher rates on all coins based on your CEL loyalty level (the ratio of CEL tokens to all other coins held in your Celsius wallet).
BTC Rewards
If you’re choosing to earn CEL rewards on your BTC holdings, your first 1 BTC can earn rewards at a rate of up to 6.2% APY. Your remaining BTC balance after 1 BTC will earn weekly compounding rewards at the rate associated with your CEL loyalty level, which is equal to the base rate multiplied by your loyalty level bonus.
ETH Rewards
International customers can earn more in CEL tokens on the first 100 ETH, too! The first 100 ETH held in your Celsius wallet can earn up to 6.2% APY based on your loyalty level bonus, and all remaining ETH held in your wallet will earn the weekly base rate (plus your CEL loyalty bonus).
🇺🇸 US-Based Customers:
Customers based in the US are not currently able to earn CEL rewards on non-CEL assets, but we think you deserve the platinum treatment, too! We’re boosting all US customers to the platinum level reward rate for BTC — rewarded in BTC! For US customers, the first 5 bitcoins held in your Celsius wallet will now earn at a rate of 6.2% APY. Your remaining BTC balance will continue to earn weekly compounding rewards at the listed in-kind (base) rate, which is currently 4.51% APY. So whether you HODL a little or a lot, put your BTC to work and earn rewards at rates you truly deserve.
🏆 CEL Loyalty Levels, Explained:
If you’re an international user earning in CEL tokens on your digital assets, you can earn even more on your crypto based on the amount of CEL tokens you hold in your wallet. If 5% or more of your wallet balance is in CEL tokens, you’re automatically eligible for higher rates!
Your loyalty level is also available in your Celsius app in the “My CEL” section of your wallet. To calculate your CEL loyalty level and find out how many CEL tokens you’d need to earn higher rewards, follow the steps featured in the image below.
